For those who want to make the leap in quality with high performance training sessions designed for professional players and adapted to the Senior world.
WHAT IS GLADIATORS TRAINING?
Gladiators Training is a high intensity training program that combines Tennis and Specific Athletics in a single session.
Structured in “time stations” we will work on “Multilaterality”, increasing the technical, tactical, physical and mental abilities of each individual player. On the tennis court, the aim will be to improve the applied and stressed technique with endurance work, also developing game actions, while in the athletic part the objective is to improve physical abilities in order to optimize metabolic processes. In Circuit Training you will develop muscle strength by improving:
Effective and fun quick work.
It improves and grows all together with workouts suitable for each athlete.
Passion and Spirit of Competition
Passion and spirit of competition are fundamental characteristics of those who want to experience sport as a lifestyle and not just to stay in shape. Adrenaline, competition and the desire to constantly improve are experiences related to tournaments but you can also live during a targeted workout. To face the racing season at its best, the Coaches of the Paolo Rosi Tennis Club offer you the opportunity to train individually or in groups in special tennis and fitness sessions.
OUR TOOLS
High Intensity Circuit Training
We often hear of “circuit training” or “functional training”.
The HICT is a fitness program developed by scholars of the American College of Sports: this method, based on the alternation of short recovery periods to series of high intensity exercises, increases the metabolic consumption with a significant variation of the yield of the ‘work out.
Over time, our staff has adapted a wide range of typical tennis exercises to HICT paradigms with encouraging results: more intense and engaging training sessions that specifically adhere to the tennis performance model.
S.V.T.A
In tennis the first information on the ball, on the environment and on our adversary reaches the brain passing through the visual channel.
The S.V.T.A. method Sport Vision is based on scientific concepts based on years of studies on vision and sense-spatial perception; consists of the integration of the three learning channels: visual-acoustic-kinesthetic.
Among the main advantages of training with the Sport Vision protocol, integrated with special technical training, there is certainly the strengthening of important sensory skills linked to the achievement of performance such as:
• Ocular fixation
• Attention
• Motor anticipation
• Responsiveness
• Zeroing of functional asymmetries
• Recovery of bilateral execution speed
• Stability of the trunk
TCW: Tennis Challenge Wall
Research carried out in the tennis world has revealed that about 90% of tennis champions, especially in previous years, underwent the period of training, practicing frequently with the wall. The reason is easy to say: it has been calculated that whoever trains with the wall can hit, in 15 minutes, the number of balls that an average player hits during a match of three sets. It is evident that the repetitiveness of the gestures can decrease the long learning times of the tennis technique; moreover, the wall exercises develop different motor abilities such as visual response, footwork, reaction capacity, differentiation capacity and, finally, eye-manual coordination. A revisitation of the wall is the Tennis Challenge Wall, an instrument designed by Joe Tizzone. The T.C.W. it allows a dynamic and innovative training able to satisfy the needs of high level athletes, guaranteeing everyone a high level of fun.
